Can all members/newcomers be at the club for 7.30pm this wednesday. (5th oct). We have an announcement and would like all in attendance.
Clydebank Camera Club is now back for its 58th Year.
We are delighted to see some of our members along with a good few new faces.
The club syllabus will follow this week, and any new information/news will be added as and when.
Look forward to welcoming all back and hopefully see more members next week.
The Scottish Nature Photography Awards Photographic Competition was launched in 2010 to provide a platform to celebrate Scotland as a key destination for nature photographers from around the world and to acknowledge the excellence of the photographic work that is undertaken here through the award of the title of "Scottish Nature Photographer of the Year". Now in its second year, the competition invites entries of images taken in Scotland by professional, semi-professional or amateur photographers from around the world.
Our 2011 Photographic Competition will again seek to find the "Scottish Nature Photographer of the Year" through the main categories of:
Scottish Wildlife - Wildlife Portrait, Wildlife Behaviour
Scottish Landscape - The Land, The Sea & Coast, Urban Greenspace
Scottish Botanical
Natural Abstract
Environmental
The Scottish Nature Photography Awards aims to encourage and promote emerging talent. To that end, this year we are inviting entries for:
"Student Scottish Nature Photographer of the Year" - open to full-time or part-time students studying a Photography element as part of their further or higher education course.
"Junior Scottish Nature Photographer of the Year" - open to under-18s.
Online & postal entries are open until 30 November 2011.

This was very much appreciated.
Can i take this time to remind all members that the Annual AGM takes place this wednesday 27th at 7.30pm.
After this wednesday the club will then close for the summer.
The committee would like to thank everyone who has participated in all the activites/guest speakers and general practical nights. To all members thank you for coming along each week and supporting the club and we wish you all a very fun, photographic packed summer. We look forward to meeting everyone again in September and welcome any new members who wish to join.
Our Prize Giving Night will be held on the 20th April ant Dalmuir CE Centre in the Lounge upstair.
We have Iain McGuiness presenting our Prizes this year, Iain is an acclaimed film maker and recently had his premier of the Clydebank Blitz film shown at the Beardmore Hotel.
The night will start around 7-7.30pm we will have a display of our members images along
with a digital slideshow of our work.
Refreshments, homebaking & of course our raffle.
Everyone is welcome.
